NGANJUK, October 3, 2025. Indonesia once again recorded a positive step. On Friday (3/10), the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Santoso, officially released the export of four containers of plastic-based household equipment products under the Moorlife brand to the Philippines and, for the first time, to Romania. The exported products are valued at US$ 411.73 thousand, equivalent to Rp 6.7 billion.

In this regard, Moorlife is an exporter partner mentored by Bank Jatim and simultaneously a participant in the East Java Export Coaching Program 2025, a collaboration between Bank Jatim and the Ministry of Trade. Also present on the occasion were the Vice Governor of East Java, Emil Elestianto Dardak, the President Director of Bank Jatim, Winardi Legowo, and the Founder & President of Moorlife, Hermanto Tanoko.

Winardi explained that Bank Jatim is currently continuing to strengthen its role in supporting the ecosystem and national exports. One way is by providing assistance for market expansion and providing more flexible financial services to support business actors in increasing Indonesia's export contribution. "Support from banking partners such as Bank Jatim will broaden the reach of the Ministry of Trade in helping exporters face global uncertainty and optimize opportunities in the international market. Thus, new exporters can advance to the international level," he explained.

Winardi also affirmed that his party is very optimistic that the exporters mentored by Bank Jatim are capable of competing in the global market. "We will continue to support them in marketing Indonesia's excellent products internationally. Bank Jatim has routinely conducted business matching, bringing together business actors with potential buyers from overseas, both offline and online. Through this collaborative effort, we hope the East Java export industry will continue to grow and contribute to Indonesia's economic growth," he stated.

Winardi hoped that this export activity could create synergy among business actors, regional governments, central agencies, and international trade partners in building a sustainable and inclusive export ecosystem. As a regional development bank, Bank Jatim is committed to encouraging East Java's economic growth through the facilitation and guidance of export-oriented customers.

"The export release is not just a ceremony, but a concrete form of Bank Jatim's contribution to SMEs and global trade. We want to contribute to introducing and strengthening the position of East Java's superior commodities in the international market. Hopefully, this export release can boost local economic growth, create jobs, and improve the welfare of the people in the region," he revealed.

Meanwhile, Budi Santoso also stated that Indonesian products now have high competitiveness in the global market. This is reflected in the significant change in the structure of national exports, which is currently dominated by the processing industry sector, replacing the dominance of the mining sector in the past. "Thus, Indonesian products are proven to have competitiveness. Through quality products, we are not only able to penetrate export markets but also strengthen the domestic market and stem the invasion of imported products," he said.

According to Budi, Moorlife has successfully shown consistency and continuously increasing export performance, thereby contributing positively to the national economy. This continuously growing export performance will certainly contribute to the national economic growth target. In addition, with increased exports, domestic production will also rise, thus absorbing more labor.

To boost exports, Budi continued, the government continues to expand market access for Indonesian exports through the completion of trade negotiations with various countries. "Yesterday, we announced that we have completed the negotiations for the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). On September 24, 2025, Indonesia also signed the Indonesia-Canada CEPA. This is one of our efforts to strengthen global market penetration," Budi explained.

Throughout January-August 2025, the Ministry of Trade also facilitated 462 business cooperation exploratory activities (business matching), consisting of 312 business opportunity presentation sessions (pitching) and 150 business meeting sessions with buyers. The total successful transaction value recorded reached USD 90.90 million, consisting of potential transactions of USD 34.95 million and purchase orders of USD 55.95 million.

There are programs that MSME actors can participate in, such as the Export Coaching Program (ECP) training and design assistance. The East Java ECP in 2025 is a collaboration between the Ministry of Trade and Bank Jatim. Through the synergy of the central and regional governments, as well as collaboration with financing institutions, it is a concrete form of support for exporters, enabling the creation of new exporters from East Java with high competitiveness. "If they are ready to export, we will include the business actors in the MSME Bold Innovation Ready to Adapt to Export (BISA Ekspor) program," Budi concluded.
