Bank Jatim gives CSR operational vehicle to BPBD East Java

MAGETAN, September 23, 2023. As a form of corporate social responsibility to the community, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has officially handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of East Java Province. The assistance provided was in the form of one unit of operational car. Located at Ngutoronadi Field, Magetan Regency, the CSR handover was carried out symbolically by bankjatim Compliance Director Tonny Prasetyo to the Chief Executive (Kalaksa) BPBD East Java Gatot Soebroto in the peak event of the East Java BPBD Volunteer Jamboree on Saturday night (23/9). Also present to witness the handover of the aid was East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

Tonny explained that the operational vehicle assistance provided by bankjatim is expected to help BPBD operations in handling disaster emergencies in the East Java region since the alert phase, emergency response, emergency transition to recovery and rehabilitation, and reconstruction of disaster-affected areas. "Our goal in providing operational vehicles to BPBD East Java is to meet the needs of facilities and infrastructure to support emergency service activities and accelerate the evacuation of disaster victims in 38 districts / cities in East Java," he said.

According to Tonny, the provision of CSR in the form of Mitsubishi New Triton Ultimate Double 4X4 A/T is a concrete form of synergy between bankjatim and local governments in handling disasters in all districts / cities in East Java. In addition, it is also a form of love and concern for bankjatim to the people of East Java who have given trust to the company in developing business.

He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to BPBD East Java, which until now has been consistent in tackling disasters until after the disaster. "Hopefully the assistance that has been provided can have a positive impact on the community and become a means of medical evacuation that is increasingly alert and responsive in the disaster management system," Tonny added.
