Bank Jatim Supports the Acceleration of the Halal Industry in East Java

In order to develop the Halal Industry in East Java, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk. (bankjatim) in cooperation with PT. Makmur Berkah Amanda Tbk. support the acceleration of operations of the Halal Industrial Park (KIH) through the Provision of Financing Facilities for the Halal Industrial Park Sidoarjo Consumers. Located at the Hotel Mercure Grand Mirama Surabaya, bankjatim through the Sharia Business Unit (UUS) signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT. Makmur Berkah Amanda Tbk. The signing of the PKS was carried out directly by the Director of Finance of bankjatim Ferdian Timur Satyagraha and the President Director of PT Makmur Berkah Amanda Tbk Adi Saputra Tedja Surya who was witnessed by Assistant II for the Economy and Development of the East Java Provincial Secretary, Jumadi and the District Secretary Sidoarjo Ahmad Zaini. "It is time for IKM to have breeding in an integrated halal industrial area so that the economic transformation in East Java is growing," said Jumadi.
As previously known, the Ministry of Industry has designated Sidoarjo as one of the KIH in East Java. With an area of 148 hectares from a total area of 410 hectares, KIH Sidoarjo which is better known as SAFE and LOCK Halal Industrial Park (HIP) was developed by PT Makmur Berkah Amanda Tbk and is currently still in the early stages of development. The presence of the Halal Industry, which is expected to be the backbone of future business foundations, is considered very important considering that Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world.
In his remarks, Ferdian conveyed that to make it easier for Micro, Small and Medium Industries (IMKM) to immediately operate in the area, bankjatim provided Financing facilities to Halal Industrial Park Sidoarjo Consumers. "With the financing facility from bankjatim, it is expected that IMKM East Java can use the Halal Industrial Park in Sidoarjo so that its business can grow rapidly. In addition, it is also hoped that the production capacity of Indonesian Halal products can increase significantly dan be integrated, have better quality, and have global competitiveness, ”said Ferdian.
To support the increase in added value of IMKM products, a one stop solution facility dan infrastructure will be built from the production process to the granting of Halal certification. The presence of a special economic zone and the ease of the halal certification process are of course the key to the development of KIH in Indonesia. With the existence of the Halal Industry, the Government also hopes that banks can provide support to IMKM so that later these products can be exported to the global market as a form of National Economic Recovery.
Through the IKM Gathering with the theme "The Role of Halal Industrial Estates Towards the Rise of East Java" organized by the East Java Industry dan Trade Service and the signing of the PKS between bankjatim and PT Makmur Berkah Amanda Tbk, it is hoped that it can accelerate the operation and fulfillment of supporting facilities in the Halal Industrial Park area of Sidoarjo. In addition, it is also hoped that the East Java IMKM can immediately use and fill the Halal Industrial Park in Sidoarjo so that it will grow dan develop so that it attracts global investors to make Indonesia the Global Hub for the world's Halal products.
