Indonesian Banking Award was held again this year. The event was held by the Banks Institute works together with the Tempo. Awards will be given an assessment of banks comprehensively, from the financial performance and performance relative efficiency industry.
For this year the number of banks that were subjected to experiments at the Indonesia Banking Award 2012 reached 118 banks. "118 bank consists of 107 commercial banks and 11 Islamic banks," said the chairman of Perbanas, Sigit Pramono, at the Ritz Carlton Mega Kuningan Jakarta, Wednesday (07/18/2012).
In this time the bank's award be rated based on 10 categories, namely: state owned banks, national private banks with assets above Rp 50 trillion, the national private bank with assets of Rp 5 trillion to Rp 50 trillion, private banks with assets of up to Rp 5 trillion, BPD with assets above Rp 10 trillion, BPD with assets of up to Rp 10 trillion, joint venture banks, foreign banks, Islamic banks with assets above Rp. 5 trillion and Islamic banks with assets of up to Rp 5 trillion.
Centre for Research and Community Service (P3M) Perbanas Institute, in making its judgment, the method combines financial performance and performance efficiency with respective weights of 50%. Financial performance is measured by Indicator Capital, Asset Quality, Earning, and Liquiduty (CAEL). While performance is measured by the efficiency of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The research team is a team of Institute faculty who conduct research on Perbanas financial performance and efficiency of the banking industry was in Indonesia on a continuous basis.
The following are Indonesia Banking Award winners by category.

  1. BPD with assets above Rp. 10 trillion is PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur, , PT Bank Bali, PT Bank Papua;
  2. BPD with assets of up to Rp 10 trillion, is PT Bank NTT, PT Bank Sulawesi, PT Bank Jambi;
  3. State owned banks rank respectively PT BRI, PT Bank Mandiri, PT BNI;
  4. National private banks with assets above Rp 50 trillion is PT CIMB Niaga, PT BCA, Bukopin;
  5. National private banks with assets of Rp 5 trillion to Rp 50 trillion is PT BTPN, PT Bank Victoria International, PT Bank Nusantara Parahyangan;
  6. National private banks with assets of up to Rp 5 trillion is PT Bank Jasa Jakarta, PT Bank Hanabank, PT Bank Kesejahtraan Ekonomi;
  7. Venture banks are PT Bank Sumitomo Mitsui Indonesia, PT Bank Pesona Perdania, PT Bank Mizuho Indonesia;
  8. Foreign banks are PT Bank of Tokyo VFJ LTD, PT Bank Citybank, PT Bank The Hongkong and Shanghai BC (HSBC);
  9. Islamic banks with assets above Rp. 5 trillion is PT Bank Syariah Mandiri, PT Bank BNI Syariah, PT Bank Mega Syariah.
