JAKARTA, March 5, 2024. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) won a prestigious award from Warta Ekonomi on Tuesday (5/3). The award that was successfully achieved by bankjatim in the Indonesia Best BUMD Awards 2024 event was as Top BUMD 2024 with Corporate Strategy to Increase Credit Distribution Growth for the BPD category. Located at JS Luwansa Hotel & Convention Jakarta, the award was received directly by bankjatim President Director Busrul Iman and accompanied by bankjatim Independent Commissioner Sumaryono and bankjatim Corporate Secretary Wioga Adhiarma Aji.
Busrul explained that the company's achievement was because bankjatim as a BUMD was considered to have carried out a corporate strategy very well so that it could increase lending growth. For information, during 2023, bankjatim's successful lending was at Rp 54.7 trillion or grew significantly by 18.54% (YoY). Therefore, bankjatim's assets also continued to grow throughout 2023 to Rp 103.85 trillion. Bankjatim's highest credit growth occurred in the productive sector (commercial & SME) by 34.28% (YoY) and the consumer sector by 8.91% (YoY).
"This award is dedicated to all bankjatim workers or Jatimers, as well as all customers who have faithfully used bankjatim services. The nomination received is also a motivation and encouragement for us to produce even better performance," Busrul said.
According to Busrul again, the achievements made by the company are because bankjatim actively collaborates and synergizes with various parties. Collaboration is part of bankjatim's strategy to make a positive contribution to business development, which in turn will help increase economic growth in East Java and nationally. "With good performance, recognition from various credible institutions, including this award, will certainly provide added value for us to continue to innovate and encourage bankjatim's performance to be better over time," he added.
The achievement of bankjatim being named TOP BUMD 2024 cannot be separated from the company's impressive performance. Especially in the digital line. This can be seen throughout 2023, JConnect Mobile users successfully reached 641,266 users or grew 29% (YoY). Then for the nominal transaction, it was at Rp 42 trillion, up 45% (YoY). Furthermore, JConnect IB Corporate users are at 8,319 or up 31% (YoY) with a nominal transaction of Rp 11.7 trillion. Not only that, the number of East Java Agents throughout 2023 also grew 76 percent (YoY) to 8,066 with a total transaction of Rp 92.3 billion.
Then for 2024, bankjatim has planned to launch New JConnect Mobile. "We hope that with the awards that have been achieved this can further motivate us to continue to make various innovations so that bankjatim can always give the best for this country," explained Busrul.
