Trans Jatim Corridor III Inaugurated, Bank Jatim Receives Charter of Appreciation

MOJOKERTO, October 18, 2023. The East Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) again inaugurated the Trans Jatim bus fleet. This time the East Java Provincial Government inaugurated corridor III Mojokerto Route (Terminal Kertajaya) - Gresik (Terminal Balongpanggang) on Wednesday (18/10). Located at the Bukit Kayu Putih Mojokerto Tourism, the inauguration was carried out directly by East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and was also attended by the President Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman.

On this occasion, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) received a certificate of appreciation for the implementation of cooperation in providing facilities and promotional media to MSME tenants at the Kertajaya Mojokerto Type-B Terminal. The award was presented by the Head of the East Java Transportation Agency (Kadishub) Nyono and received by Busrul Iman.

Nyono explained, Trans Jatim Bus has now become a favorite public transportation for the community. Its development is also very rapid. "The number of Trans Jatim service users in 2021 was only 518,966. But in 2023, starting from January-October, the total number of users has reached 1,148,484," he explained.

As for now, there are three Trans Jatim corridors. Details, Trans Jatim Corridor I serves the Sidoarjo - Surabaya - Gresik route. Then Trans Jatim Corridor II serves the Mojokerto - Sidoarjo route. "Well, what is inaugurated today is Trans Jatim Corridor III serving the Mojokerto - Gresik route. The number of fleets in Corridor III is 22 and is equipped with a total of 40 stops," he said. For operational hours every day starting at 05.00 WIB until 21.00 WIB.

Meanwhile, Khofifah hopes that the opening of cheap and affordable mass transportation such as Trans Jatim can increase tourist visits to the Mojokerto and Gresik areas. In addition, it is also expected to increase the creative economy and purchasing power of the community. So that it can have an impact on the growth of the economy.

Busrul Iman also said that so far bankjatim has indeed continued to support various programs launched by the East Java Provincial Government. Including the empowerment of MSMEs in East Java. Therefore, he is very grateful to have been invited to cooperate in terms of providing facilities and promotional media in the UMKM tenant of Terminal Type-B Kertajaya Mojokerto.

"As we all know, MSMEs have become the backbone of the economy and their contribution is very significant to the economic growth of East Java. So, with the promotional facilities at the terminal, these MSME players can further expand the market and increase their turnover," Busrul said.

According to him, providing promotional access for MSMEs is an important factor that must be done if you want East Java MSME products to be recognized by the wider community and have strong purchasing power. Therefore, Busrul continued, bankjatim will continue to synergize with various parties to support and provide solutions for the development of MSMEs.

"Not only support in the field of funding, bankjatim also presents solutions for the development of MSMEs in East Java both in terms of promotion and market access. MSMEs need to continue to upgrade, not only become champions in the region but also contribute nationally and compete globally, "said Busrul.
