SURABAYA, 11 September 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) held its 2025 public expose on Thursday (11/9). Conducted online, the public expose presentation was delivered by Bank Jatim's Director of Medium, Corporate & Network Business, Arif Suhirman, and Bank Jatim's Compliance Director, Umi Rodiyah.
In his presentation, Arif explained that Bank Jatim aims to become a Regional Development Bank (BPD) that contributes significantly to regional economic growth and possesses a competitive advantage. To achieve this goal, Bank Jatim has encapsulated it in the vision of becoming the No. 1 BPD in Indonesia. Therefore, for the remaining 6 months of 2025, Bank Jatim is focusing on 3 main targets: improving asset and liability quality, deepening the digital ecosystem, and increasing business scale. "Regarding the improvement of asset and liability quality, Bank Jatim emphasizes business growth focused on good asset quality and sustainable funding growth. Credit channeling is done prudently and selectively, with measurable risk profiles and good prospects, as well as increasing sustainable third-party funds," he explained.
Furthermore, increasing Bank Jatim's business capacity is carried out by deepening the digital ecosystem, integrating all business lines, including those from the local government finance sector, MSMEs, and the community, into a digital service ecosystem that is easy, fast, and secure. Then, in an effort to increase business scale, besides organic growth, Bank Jatim is confident that business growth can also be accelerated through corporate actions. "Since the end of 2024, we have carried out corporate actions in the form of capital injection into BPDs through the Bank Business Group (KUB) pattern and the issuance of sustainable bonds," Arif revealed.
By the second quarter of 2025, Bank Jatim's performance has become increasingly solid. On a consolidated basis, the company's asset value reached Rp118.15 Trillion, growing 16.71% YoY. Meanwhile, consolidated net profit in the second quarter of 2025 was Rp 811 Billion, an increase of 30.64% YoY. Bank Jatim's individual performance as of the second quarter of 2025 includes assets of Rp 101.75 Trillion, growing 0.51% YoY. And net profit of Rp703 Billion, an increase of 13.26% YoY.
Arif also explained that Bank Jatim's individual credit channeling performance was still able to record a growth of 15.91% YoY in the Second Quarter of 2025. The composition is a consumer loan portfolio of Rp 35.79 trillion, an increase of 12.75% YoY, and a productive loan portfolio of Rp 31.51 trillion, an increase of 19.71% YoY. "The segmentation of account officers and workforce optimization in work units as well as regular monitoring have maximum implications for credit channeling in the consumptive and productive sectors," he stated.
According to Arif, one of Bank Jatim's strengths to support performance is the number of conventional networks spread across all regional areas, supported by an online digital network to facilitate the connectivity of community financial transactions. JConnect, as Bank Jatim's digital brand, has seen an increase both in terms of users and transaction utility.
In addition, to maximize banking services for regions with large business potential, Bank Jatim also maximizes services through Agen Jatim (Jatim Agents). Apart from banking transaction utility, Agen Jatim also contributes to the growth of credit channeling, mainly through the referral method, with a total of 14,008 agents. "Not only will we increase the number of customers, but Bank Jatim will also continue to increase the number of transactions through various product and service promotions," he emphasized.
Outside the business aspect, Bank Jatim always supports value creation that provides added value as a company. One of them is through sustainable economic growth. In 2024, credit channeling to environmentally conscious businesses reached Rp 5.65 Trillion. Bank Jatim has also implemented CSR as a form of corporate responsibility to the community by channeling CSR in the education, health, culture, and other social activities sectors. "We have a commitment to participate in preserving the environment through various environmental conservation activities whose value is always increasing every year," Arif concluded.
