KEDIRI, September 20, 2024. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) continues to actively support the development of hospitals in East Java, including in Kediri. One of the concrete forms of this support is the provision of IDR 75 billion in credit to RSUD (Regional Public Hospital) Kediri. The type of credit provided is an investment loan for Badan Layanan Umum Daerah (BLUD). The signing of the BLUD credit facility was conducted at RSUD Kediri on Friday, September 20, by Acting Branch Leader of bankjatim Pare, Siti Koyunah, and Director of RSUD Kediri, Dr. Raden Gatut Rahardjo, Sp.An. Accompanying the signing were bankjatim's SEVP for Corporate, Syndication, and Institutional, Koerniawan Prijambodo, and VP of Corporate Credit & Syndication, Mukhlison.

Bankjatim's President Director, Busrul Iman, explained that the purpose of this credit is to fund the construction of Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) buildings at RSUD Kediri (Buildings B and C). The benefit provided by bankjatim includes offering affordable credit interest rates. “As a Regional Development Bank (BPD), bankjatim is tasked with supporting regional development in East Java. Moreover, the Kediri Regency Government is one of bankjatim’s shareholders, so we are committed to fully supporting the programs planned by the Kediri Regency Government, including those for RSUD Kediri,” he said.

The entities eligible for BLUD credit are the regional work units within provincial, regency, or city governments that have been granted full BLUD status by the Minister/Governor/Regent/Mayor. Busrul hopes that with this financing from bankjatim, RSUD Kediri will be able to provide even better services to the public.

“Currently, bankjatim is targeting cooperation with various hospitals in East Java to create financial services that not only make it easier for patients but also positively impact the entire hospital staff, including healthcare workers and employees. Therefore, we are ready to collaborate with hospitals across East Java to provide BLUD credit financing. This will help optimize hospital services and accelerate bankjatim’s business growth, benefiting both parties,” explained Busrul.

As of August 2024, bankjatim reported a revenue of IDR 5.01 trillion and a net profit of IDR 788 billion. One of the major contributors to bankjatim’s performance is its credit distribution. Total credit disbursed by bankjatim until August 2024 amounted to IDR 60.65 trillion, growing 18.57 percent year-on-year (YoY).
