PAMEKASAN, February 5, 2025. In order to enhance the implementation of Local Government Transaction Electronification (ETPD), the Pamekasan Regency Government, together with PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim), officially launched the Indonesian Credit Card (KKI) on Wednesday (5/2). Held at the Pamekasan Regent's Office, the activity was attended directly by the Acting (Pj.) Regent of Pamekasan, Masrukin, and the Director of Compliance of bankjatim, Umi Rodiyah.

Umi explained that the launching activity is a proof of bankjatim's commitment to fully support all work programs of the Pamekasan Regency Government regarding ETPD. "We are ready to support the Pamekasan Regency Government to improve ETPD to achieve increased efficiency and effectiveness in local financial management. One of which is through KKI," she said.

Umi continued, the launch of KKI essentially has many positive objectives. Among them are improving the transparency and accountability of local financial management, increasing the quality of public services, reducing the potential for fraud from cash transactions, and encouraging regional innovation. Furthermore, the most important aspect of using KKI is that it makes it easier for APBD implementing officials to procure goods/services through e-payment, supporting the acceleration of the increased use of domestic products (P3DN).

Not only that. The use of KKI can simplify administration because it only requires a swipe. In addition, every detail of spending through KKI can be recorded, which can be a safeguard for the local government in order to increase accountability to the public.

"Through the utilization of KKI, it can certainly involve all SMEs (UMKM) in East Java so they can advance along with P3DN. The potential is huge, in East Java itself there are 29 regencies and 9 cities with more than 5000 SKPD (Regional Government Work Units) and millions of SMEs. This must be optimized," she explained.

According to Umi, the implementation of regional financial digitalization has become an urgency in this era. Because digitalization can support effective and efficient regional financial governance to encourage transparency and accelerate local government transactions. "For your information, the use of KKI by local governments has been mandated by the central government. Well, the KKI can be used to make payments for expenditures charged to the APBD. We hope this cooperation can continue in the future and bring a positive impact on the economic growth of Pamekasan and East Java," she stated.

Meanwhile, Masrukin welcomed this collaboration. His side believes that technological advancement and digitalization can bring positive changes to public service. "This condition can be well adopted and implemented by Bank Jatim. We are committed to continuously encourage the use of KKI in Pamekasan so that all regional apparatuses can use it. We hope that the presence of KKI can increase budget absorption in Pamekasan and provide positive benefits for local products, especially in the procurement of goods and services," he said.
