The plan of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia in facilitating better prospective pilgrims will soon be realized, this is in line with the formation of a new institution namely the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) formed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia some time ago and chaired by Anggito Abimanyu.

Recognizing the importance of managing the Hajj fund, especially prospective pilgrims in East Java Province, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) through the bankjatim sharia business unit is ready to support BPKH with the infrastructure that is a requirement of the BPKH to become the Hajj Deposit Receiver Bank (BPS), namely Virtual Account. bankjatim is one of 17 banks appointed by BPKH as BPS hajj funds. BPKH itself targets the 17 banks to be able to attract 450,000 prospective pilgrims (CJH) in 2018.

On the occasion of the Indonesian Shari'a Economic Festival (ISEF) event, bankjatim demonstrated to the public and the media how bankjatim owned the virtual account system for hajj fund deposit transactions. With a virtual account, prospective pilgrims can monitor the funds that have been deposited including the value of the benefits of the placement and investment of the Hajj fund.

bankjatim itself has 1,575 sharia networks. Director of Sharia Retail and Consumer Business Tony Sudjiaryanto stressed that bankjatim was ready to meet the targets set by the BPKH
