JAKARTA, August 29, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) has once again achieved a brilliant accomplishment. This time, Bank Jatim successfully won two awards at once in the Infobank Award 2025 event organized by Infobank Magazine. The awards achieved were The Best Bank in Credit Expansion - KBMI 2 and Yearly Excellent Performance Bank. Held at the Kempinski Grand Ballroom Jakarta, the awards were presented by Chairman of Infobank Media Group Eko B. Supriyanto and received directly by Bank Jatim Compliance Director Umi Rodiyah on Friday (29/8).
Umi explained that the award received by Bank Jatim is proof of the hard work and dedication of all Jatimers. The award was given for Bank Jatim's performance, which is considered to consistently show positive figures amidst the dynamic global economic challenges. "This also proves that Bank Jatim's existence, from its inception until now, continues to develop, starting from Human Resources to digital transformation, including service facilities for customers. All of this is certainly with the support of all parties. We cannot move alone and will always need synergy with all elements," she emphasized.
When discussing performance, Bank Jatim's total consolidated assets in the first six months of this year successfully reached Rp 118.15 trillion, an increase of 16.71 percent (YoY). Furthermore, when viewed from the perspective of Bank Jatim's net profit (bank only) throughout the first semester, it stood at Rp 703 billion, growing 13.26 percent (YoY). In addition, during Semester I of this year, Bank Jatim's credit distribution was also able to record a significant increase of 15.91 percent (YoY). For Semester I 2025, Bank Jatim was able to distribute credit (bank only) amounting to Rp 67.31 trillion.
Even though the national and regional economic conditions are still facing challenges, Bank Jatim was in fact still able to record growth in credit distribution. This indicates that there is still an increase in demand for goods and services from the community. "We agree that access to financing for business actors must be opened as widely as possible in order to create new businesses and job opportunities, so that the economy can rotate and grow. We are also grateful that Bank Jatim is still able to record fairly good performance. The entire management of Bank Jatim is committed to always striving to realize Bank Jatim's vision and mission to become the No. 1 Regional Development Bank (BPD) in Indonesia," she explained.
According to Umi, through the award achieved, Bank Jatim has proven its ability to become one of the banks that can adapt quickly to changing economic conditions. With a focus on innovation, digitalization, and good risk management, Bank Jatim is optimistic that it can continue to maintain sustainable growth in the future. "We will continue to innovate and adapt to changes so that we can always provide a positive contribution to the economy of East Java and Indonesia," she added.
Meanwhile, Eko also stated in his remarks that the Infobank Award 2025 given to 59 banks was based on the results of the Infobank Research Bureau (birI) study entitled Rating 106 Banks Infobank Version 2025. Based on the assessment carried out on the published financial performance reports of 106 national banks in 2023 and 2024, a total of 59 banks successfully achieved the predicate "Very Good." These 59 banks were the ones given awards at the Infobank Award 2025 event.
The Infobank Research Bureau used 12 financial and growth ratios to rate 106 national banks. These 12 financial and growth ratios are covered in seven major sections, namely the ranking of the risk management profile, the ranking of the GCG composite value, capital, asset quality, profitability, liquidity, and efficiency. "These 59 banks deserve to be given awards because amidst the tightening liquidity due to the decline in public purchasing power, competition in interest rates among digital banks, and global uncertainty, they still managed to record their best performance," Eko concluded.
