Bank Jatim and UK Petra Execute MoU to Foster Educational Advancement.

SURABAYA, June 17, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universitas Kristen (UK) Petra on Tuesday (17/6). The signed MoU concerns Cooperation in the Implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and Human Resource Development as well as Financial Services. Located at the University Meeting Room (RRU), the MoU was signed by Vice President of Institutional Relations Agus Sastriono and the Rector of Universitas Kristen Petra, Prof. Dr. Ir. Djwantoro Hardjito, M.Eng.
Corporate Secretary of Bank Jatim, Fenty Rischana K, explained that the scope of the planned cooperation includes various matters. Starting from education, research, community service, human resource improvement and empowerment, as well as financial services in the form of funding and lending. "This collaboration is part of Bank Jatim's commitment to supporting the education sector to obtain easy and innovative banking services. In addition, this MoU also marks a closer synergy between Bank Jatim and UK Petra. We are very grateful to be a collaborative partner with UK Petra," she explained.
According to Fenty, Bank Jatim is committed to continuously increasing financial literacy and inclusion for the community. Therefore, this cooperation in education and community service is in line with Bank Jatim's commitment. Fenty hopes that the collaboration between Bank Jatim and UK Petra can further increase the optimization of financial service management using Bank Jatim banking services such as JConnect and utilize the resources owned by both parties for mutual progress.
"We are always open to collaboration and synergy to provide optimal solutions and services to actors in educational institutions, as well as a process of transferring knowledge or service products between the campus and the bank. Hopefully, this synergy can provide a positive contribution to the nation and the state," she stated.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Universitas Kristen Petra, Prof. Dr. Ir. Djwantoro Hardjito, M.Eng., expressed his appreciation to Bank Jatim for establishing cooperation with UK Petra, especially in banking transaction services for students, education staff, and lecturers. "Thank you for the trust of Bank Jatim which has collaborated in supporting UK Petra in the development of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and financial services," he said.
Djwantoro Hardjito believes that this cooperation can provide positive benefits for UK Petra, Bank Jatim, and the wider community. Because, according to him, a university cannot walk alone, so it is hoped that it can work together with various parties. "We need to partner with industry to continue carrying out the Tri Dharma. Hopefully, this collaboration can provide a real contribution to UK Petra, Bank Jatim, and the nation," he emphasized.
