SURABAYA, August 17, 2025. The commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the 64th Anniversary of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) was held with fanfare. The commemoration was held simultaneously at the Head Office and all Bank Jatim Branch Offices. At the Head Office, the event began with a flag ceremony and was led directly by the Board of Directors. All Jatimers, consisting of Commissioners, Directors, SEVPs, VPs, AVPs, and Bank Jatim staff, followed the series of ceremonies solemnly. To further enliven the commemoration of the RI and Bank Jatim Anniversaries, this year's celebration was again marked by the Jatimers Defile 2025. Through the Defile celebration, the Commissioners, Directors, SEVPs, VPs, and Bank Jatim staff skillfully walked the runway to display the beauty and uniqueness of the traditional costumes from each province across Indonesia. The traditional attire from Sabang to Merauke worn by all participants reflects the cultural richness of the homeland—different yet one.

"In line with the 80th RI Anniversary theme, namely United and Sovereign, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia, it is hoped that the Jatimers Defile will further awaken the spirit of unity and mutual understanding as one nation. We all must be solid to unite the spirit and goals of the entire Indonesian nation," said Acting President Director of Bank Jatim, Arif Suhirman. It was clear that all participants and spectators of the Jatimers Defile 2025 were very enthusiastic and united in enlivening the event. Everyone seemed to enjoy the fashion works displayed. With today's activity, Arif continued, it is hoped that all Bank Jatim employees will further appreciate and continue to be committed to preserving the cultural heritage of Nusantara clothing from various regions.

Arif revealed that the spirit of independence celebrated this year is a momentum for Bank Jatim to further commit to strengthening real contributions, both to East Java and Indonesia. "We believe that the sovereignty and progress of the country stem from the economic independence of the people. Therefore, we are always present not only as a financial institution but also as a proactive partner encouraging the equitable prosperity of the Indonesian people, especially through the empowerment of MSMEs," he asserted.

In addition, the commemoration of RI's independence day is also a moment for Bank Jatim to remember the noble values that have built Indonesia. "We hope that the 80th RI Anniversary can encourage the Indonesian people to continue striving to advance the nation through hard work, innovation, and synergy with various parties. Various challenges and threats will certainly exist, but we all must be confident that with a strong national unity, everything can be overcome," he stressed.

Arif also stated that this year's Bank Jatim Anniversary carries the tagline Gather as One, Together We Thrive. "We are ready to accompany all people of East Java to jointly transform into part of the New Archipelago Gateway. One step, one spirit, one goal for a better future. We will continue to hold hands with all stakeholders to realize the strengthening of the financial services sector's integrity amidst the challenges being faced. All of this is done to realize a competitive financial services sector that plays an optimal role in encouraging sustainable economic growth, thereby being able to realize Advanced Indonesia," he explained.

According to Arif, this year's Bank Jatim Anniversary commemoration is also a starting point for the company's new spirit to always give the best for all customers. Not only as a financial institution, Bank Jatim also wants to be present as part of every customer's journey and hope. Bank Jatim is committed to always presenting innovative, inclusive, and positively impactful financial solutions for the wider community.

Not only on August 17, BJTM had previously held various competitions in the framework of celebrating and honoring the nation's struggle and enlivening the Bank Jatim Anniversary. The participants in the competition were from all employees. Many competitions were contested. Such as sack racing, flour relay, Jatimers Got Talent, 'nguleg bareng BOD' (grinding spices together with the Board of Directors), and many more. "This Anniversary commemoration is also celebrated by Bank Jatim by helping others through free cataract surgery and elderly gymnastics. Through this program, we want to ignite the spirit of humanity reflected in every celebration of RI's independence day," said Arif.

The management hopes that on the 64th anniversary of Bank Jatim, all Jatimers will not stop giving their best for the company, maintaining the performance of its financial performance, and continuing to encourage Bank Jatim to always transform. "The 64th Anniversary commemoration is not just a ceremony, but a momentum to further strengthen our commitment to providing better financial services. At the age of 64, Bank Jatim certainly has high hopes to continue to grow and develop into a more brilliant bank. The world continues to change, challenges are increasingly complex, and expectations for Bank Jatim will also be higher. Therefore, we must not be complacent or satisfied. We must be dedicated to continuously creating added value with high standards, strengthening collaboration, adapting quickly, and prioritizing innovation in every aspect," he stated.

As a regional development bank that has been established since 1961, Bank Jatim has played an active role in encouraging economic growth in East Java. With a wide network and various innovative banking products and services, Bank Jatim has now succeeded in positioning itself as a strategic partner for the community, MSMEs, and local governments. Moving forward, Bank Jatim still has the vision to become the No. 1 Regional Development Bank (BPD) in Indonesia. "We want to be a BPD that contributes significantly to sustainable regional economic growth and to be a BPD that has competitive advantages so that it can compete in the domestic banking industry," he continued.

Bank Jatim's success in pursuing the vision of becoming the No. 1 BPD in Indonesia can be seen from several aspects. Among others, the company's assets are consistently growing, and Bank Jatim continues to actively develop innovative banking products and services, especially in digital banking through the JConnect innovation. All of this is done to realize an increase in service quality and provide convenience to customers.

The total consolidated assets of Bank Jatim in the first six months of this year successfully reached IDR 118.15 trillion, an increase of 16.71 percent (YoY). Furthermore, when viewed from the perspective of Bank Jatim's net profit (bank only) throughout the first semester, it stood at IDR 703 billion, growing by 13.26 percent (YoY). Bank Jatim is grateful because it is still able to record quite good performance, especially in the achievement of bank only net profit.

In facing the challenges in the second semester, Bank Jatim has prepared various strategies to maintain growth momentum, including remaining oriented towards quality-focused growth, increasing efficiency, and exploring new income potential. "We will continue to work hard to achieve the targets that have been set and provide added value for all stakeholders," explained Arif.

Arif hopes that Bank Jatim's performance in the future can continue to grow and transform into a digital bank with highly competitive human resources so that Bank Jatim can be closer to its vision of becoming the No. 1 BPD in Indonesia. With the spirit of Gather as One, Together We Thrive on its 64th anniversary, Bank Jatim is consistent in continuing to strengthen synergy to realize sustainable growth. "We will always be ready to provide the best service supported by professionalism and integrity," he concluded.
