JAKARTA, March 30, 2026. Amid increasingly intense competition in the banking industry, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk. (Bank Jatim) successfully navigated through 2025 with solid performance. This was reflected in the Public Expose of Bank Jatim’s 2025 Financial Performance, which was held on Monday (March 30). Taking place at Discovery Hotel SCBD Jakarta, the analyst meeting was attended directly by Bank Jatim President Director Winardi Legowo, along with Vice President Director R. Arief Wicaksono, Director of Finance, Treasury & Global Services RM Wahyukusumo Wisnubroto, and Director of Business, Micro Retail & Sharia Business Tonny Prasetyo.
Winardi explained that in closing 2025 amid dynamic economic conditions at various levels, management implemented several strategies to maintain Bank Jatim’s business and financial performance. These included maintaining a balance in managing Third Party Funds by increasing the proportion of low-cost funds, as well as issuing bonds to support the Bank’s stable fund portfolio. In addition, Bank Jatim also carried out more selective lending in prospective sectors while simultaneously deepening penetration in consumer credit business, maintaining discipline in managing income and expense items through efficiency, and increasing digital transactions to boost non-interest income. The Bank also aggressively controlled asset quality to remain in line with its risk appetite.
“To support our vision of becoming the Number 1 Regional Development Bank (BPD) in Indonesia, we have continued our transformation journey through five main pillars: governance and risk management, ecosystem-based business optimization, strengthening manpower competency as our key asset, reinforcing information technology and business process digitalization, as well as optimizing business synergy within the Bank’s business group,” Winardi explained.
As a result of the strategies implemented by management, supported by a solid team’s productivity, Bank Jatim’s total assets as of 2025 successfully reached Rp 105.8 trillion, growing 3.70% (YoY). The asset composition was contributed by productive assets, including an increase in loan disbursement amounting to Rp 67.2 trillion, growing 4.98% (YoY), treasury business management, and Third Party Funds which grew 1.43% (YoY). “Bank Jatim also successfully recorded a net profit of Rp 1.54 trillion, up 20.65% compared to the previous year,” he added.
From Bank Jatim’s loan disbursement (Bank Only) which grew conservatively by 4.98% (YoY) to Rp 67.24 trillion, the composition consisted of consumer loans amounting to Rp 36.54 trillion, increasing 6.20% (YoY), and productive loans amounting to Rp 30.7 trillion, increasing 3.55% (YoY).
Winardi added that in 2025, management focused on increasing low-cost funds penetration by applying a transaction banking approach and ecosystem-based business strategy to increase both the amount of funds and the number of customers. This was reflected in the performance of Third Party Funds, such as demand deposits (giro) which reached Rp 21.4 trillion, growing 12.5% (YoY). Meanwhile, in terms of NoA (Number of Accounts), the number of customers increased by 5.64% YoY, reaching a total of 10,915,749 Third Party Fund customers.
This strong performance also supported Bank Jatim’s consolidated performance achievements throughout 2025, which showed significant growth across various key indicators. Bank Jatim’s consolidated achievements in 2025 included total assets increasing by 42.93% (YoY), from Rp118.142 trillion in 2024 to Rp168.855 trillion in 2025. Loan disbursement also experienced strong growth, increasing by 46.65% from Rp75.35 trillion to Rp110.503 trillion. In line with this, Bank Jatim’s consolidated net profit also recorded an increase of 24.80% (YoY), from Rp1.296 trillion in 2024 to Rp1.617 trillion in 2025. This achievement reflects solid business fundamentals and the effectiveness of the company’s strategy in driving sustainable growth.
Winardi also emphasized that management continues to strive for improvements in asset quality through several measures, including conducting a write-off mechanism amounting to Rp1.03 trillion with a recovery rate of 18.6% or equivalent to Rp192 billion, and restructuring as a recovery measure for debtors experiencing deteriorating collectability. The total loans restructured by Bank Jatim amounted to Rp 4.17 trillion.
Not only that, the Company also aggressively implemented extracomptable collection incentives to stimulate increased receipts from written-off loans, provided interest and penalty relief to encourage debtors to repay, and offered partial collateral settlement as well as flexibility in collateral redemption settlement to accelerate the resolution of non-performing loans. “And of course, we routinely monitor and control (weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly) the performance of non-performing loan handling, led directly by the Board of Directors,” Winardi stated.
Furthermore, regarding the Bank Business Group plan with several Regional Development Banks, in 2025 Bank Jatim finalized all stages and officially became the parent company of five Regional Development Banks (BPD), namely Bank NTB Syariah, Bank Banten, Bank Lampung, Bank Sultra, and Bank NTT. Thus, synergy in terms of capital has been fully implemented. “In 2026, we will maximize synergy in business and financial areas as well as other supporting aspects as enablers,” Winardi said.
To support business performance and increase market share, Bank Jatim is supported by an extensive network of physical branch offices spread throughout East Java and digital transaction services that enable customers to conduct transactions anytime and anywhere without limitations.
