Bank Jatim Crowned Best Regional Bank of 2025 for Supporting Digitalization Acceleration

JAKARTA, December 1, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) continues to carve out achievements. After recently successfully achieving a platinum rank in the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) 2025 event, now Bank Jatim has again received an award as the Best Regional Development Bank (BPD) of 2025 nationally from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Located at the Hotel Kempinski Ballroom, the award was received directly by Bank Jatim President Director Winardi Legowo during the Center – Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorpusda) for Regional Digital Acceleration and Expansion (P2DD) on Monday (1/12). This award was given because Bank Jatim was assessed to be highly supportive of the P2DD policy. Also present was the Deputy for Coordination of Management and Business Development of State-Owned Enterprises of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ferry Irawan.

Winardi explained that it is undeniable that currently technological developments are very rapid and continue to evolve quickly. Seeing this, Bank Jatim is required, inevitably, to be able to follow technological advances in the banking field to meet service needs for the community, villages, to regency governments. As a regional bank that has a central role in the economy of East Java, Bank Jatim fully realizes the importance of adaptation to technological developments to improve the quality of service to regional governments and the community.

We are committed to continuing to take various concrete steps to accelerate the implementation of regional government transaction electronification to support the governance and integration of regional financial management systems, support the development of digital payment transactions in the community, as well as realize inclusive finance and increase national digital economic and financial integration,” he asserted.

According to Winardi, the achievement as the best BPD is an important milestone in Bank Jatim's digital transformation journey and is certainly the essence of dedication and hard work in supporting digitalization in the regions, especially East Java. Therefore, Winardi continued, Bank Jatim will remain consistent in innovating to become a reliable partner in supporting regional digitalization, one of which is by providing innovative digital banking solutions and providing added value for all stakeholders.

As for Bank Jatim's support for the East Java Provincial Government, it includes the electronification of the budget management of the East Java Provincial Government's Regional Working Units (SKPD), through the Cash Management System (CMS) service, so that SKPDs can monitor budget receipt and expenditure transaction activities on accounts easily, in real-time and more accurately. Not only that. Bank Jatim is also now continuing to develop JConnect Mobile with various features. Starting from transfers, payments for various bills including taxes and levies, to QRIS scans. ”We will continue to work hard to expand the reach of digital services and continue to invest in the latest technology to provide added value to regional communities.

On this occasion, Ferry Irawan also explained that the support of the P2DD policy encourages the development of the digital ecosystem significantly, where until the first half of 2025 there were 501 Regional Governments or 91.8% already having an adequate ecosystem, both in terms of regulation, channels, system readiness and availability, as well as the support of Regional Development Banks. As per the directives of President Prabowo Subianto and the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, the P2DD Task Force mapped several strategic plans for the future. ”Electronification, especially in the banking IT infrastructure sector, becomes an opportunity for increasing public services,” he stated.

The Rakorpusda was carried out by elaborating on the directives of the 2025 P2DD National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas), including increasing the local tax ratio through various efforts to optimize income such as increasing literacy, incentives, and public service quality as well as improving the database without increasing the burden on the community, accelerating the realization and increasing the accuracy of Regional Budget (APBD) spending, strengthening the Regional Government Information System (SIPD), mainstreaming the Regional Government Transaction Electronification (ETPD) policy, and strengthening the role of Regional Development Banks (BPD).

Elaboration was also carried out through the best practices of the P2DD policy based on the results of monitoring and evaluation of the P2DD Task Force, including from the results of the 2025 P2DD championships, as well as innovations that can be applied by Regional Governments in strengthening the digital ecosystem and streamlining the P2DD policy.

In that agenda, the Best 2025 TP2DD Championship, the Best Flagship Program in the general category and each thematic (Signal/Network Service Availability, Motor Vehicle Tax Service Improvement, Regional Government Information System Service, Payment System Service), the Best BPD in supporting the P2DD policy, and rookie of the year were also announced. In addition to Bank Jatim, East Java Province also won the best TP2DD award at the provincial level (Java – Bali) and the best flagship program in the motor vehicle tax service improvement category.
