Bank Jatim Customer Secures IDR 500 Million Grand Prize

YOGYAKARTA, August 7, 2025. The Association of Regional Development Banks (Asbanda) has once again successfully held the Simpeda National Savings Lottery for Period 1, Year XXXVI-2025, with total prizes reaching IDR 3 billion. Held in the Prambanan Temple area, the event was attended by the Regent of Kulon Progo, Agung Setyawan, the Regent of Gunungkidul, Endah Subekti Kuntariningsih, the Chairman of Asbanda, Agus H. Widodo, the Acting President Director of Bank Jatim, Arif Suhirman, the Director of Compliance of Bank Jatim, Umi Rodiyah, the President Director of Bank BPD DIY, Santoso Rohmad, and the board of directors of Regional Development Banks (BPD) across Indonesia.

The winner of the Simpeda Lottery grand prize, valued at IDR 500 million, was a customer of Bank Jatim. Furthermore, the Simpeda Savings Lottery also drew winners for four second prizes, each valued at IDR 100 million. The winners were customers of Bank Jakarta, Bank Lampung, and Bank Jambi, with one prize specifically allocated to the host, a customer of Bank BPD DIY.

Arif explained that the company is deeply grateful that a Bank Jatim customer has once again secured the grand prize. “Congratulations to all the winners. This lottery is a form of appreciation to enhance customer loyalty. May the prizes received bring blessings to everyone,” he stated.

Arif also elaborated that the momentum of the Simpeda Savings Lottery, attended by all BPDs in Indonesia, must be utilized as an opportunity for sharing knowledge and experience. Additionally, it serves as a platform to explore collaboration opportunities in developing digital financial service innovations amidst the tight competition in the banking industry.

“Simpeda Savings is a product that unites all BPDs across Indonesia. In its development, Simpeda continues to experience year-on-year growth. This represents the public's trust in BPDs throughout Indonesia,” Arif explained. Meanwhile, Agus H. Widodo clarified that during the Simpeda Savings Lottery draw for Period 1, Year XXXVI-2025 in Yogyakarta, the number of savers was recorded at over 8.9 million as of the end of June 2025, with the total savings balance reaching IDR 73 trillion. “Compared to the Simpeda lottery draw in Pontianak last year, the number of savers increased by 29.74 percent (YoY), or an increase of more than 2 million savers from the previous 6.8 million savers. The Simpeda balance, meanwhile, increased by 3.04 percent, up IDR 2.17 trillion,” he said.

Agus acknowledged that Bank Jatim holds the largest accumulated Simpeda Savings funds. It was recorded that as of June 2025, the total funds accumulated at Bank Jatim amounted to IDR 16.38 trillion, accounting for 22.19 percent of the total national Simpeda Savings. “We aim to make Simpeda a superior product that continues to grow, remains relevant to community needs, and is capable of competing in the digital era. Therefore, we are committed to continuously improving the quality of Simpeda products and services so that Simpeda Savings can become the choice for Indonesian people's savings in the future,” Agus emphasized.

On that occasion, Asbanda also announced the host for the 2026 Simpeda Savings Lottery draw, namely Bank Jateng. The Simpeda Savings Lottery is planned to take place in Semarang, Central Java Province, in February 2026.
