Bank Jatim Customer Wins IDR 500 Million Simpeda Draw Grand Prize

JAYAPURA, April 24, 2025. The Association of Regional Development Banks (Asbanda) once again held the National Simpeda Savings Draw for Period 2 of Year XXXV-2025 with a total prize of IDR 3 billion. Located at Istora Papua Bangkit, Sentani, Jayapura, the event was attended by the Acting Governor of Papua Major General (Ret.) Ramses Limbong, the Acting General Chairman of Asbanda who is also the President Director of Bank Jatim Busrul Iman, the President Director of Bank Papua Yuliana D. Yembise, and the board of directors of Regional Development Banks (BPD) throughout Indonesia.
In his speech, Busrul explained that Simpeda Savings is a product that unites all BPDs across Indonesia. In its development, Busrul acknowledged that Simpeda Savings continues to experience an increase from year to year. "This is the trust from the Indonesian people to BPDs across Indonesia," he said.
This was evident in the Simpeda Savings Draw Period 2 Year XXXIV-2024 held in Lake Toba, Parapat, North Sumatra, where the number of savers was recorded at 8,574,835 with a total balance of IDR 77.88 trillion. "Now, if we look at the Simpeda withdrawal from Lake Toba, Parapat, until this Jayapura event, the number of savers has increased by 3.05 percent or 253,428 savers, while the balance has also grown by 7.36 percent or an increase of IDR 5.34 trillion," he revealed.
Therefore, Busrul hopes that BPDs throughout Indonesia can continue to improve the quality of Simpeda services and products so that in the future it always remains the primary choice for the public for saving. "Our hope is that Simpeda can become a regional champion in each BPD. So that the role of BPD as a financial intermediation agent can run well," he asserted.
Meanwhile, Ramses Limbong also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the trust given to the Provincial Government of Papua to host the National Level Simpeda Draw for Year XXXV 2025.
According to him, the event is also a momentum to introduce various financial opportunities and solutions that can benefit the community and further strengthen the good relationship that has been established so far.
"Through this Simpeda Savings Draw event, it is hoped that synergy can be encouraged among BPDs spread throughout Indonesia. Because the established synergy and collaboration are believed to increase the performance of each regional BPD," said Ramses.
The Simpeda savings draw is held twice a year with a total prize of IDR 6 billion. Period I for point collection is from January 1 – June 30 (drawn around August). Meanwhile, Period II for point collection is from July 1 – December 31 (drawn around March).
The total prize for the Simpeda Savings Draw Period 2 Year XXXV-2025, valued at IDR 3 billion, was participated in by 588 customers from 23 BPDs in Indonesia. In detail, the grand prize of the 2025 Simpeda Draw, amounting to IDR 500 million, was successfully won by a Bank Jatim customer. Then, for the category II prizes, given to 4 customers, each receiving IDR 100 million, were won by customers from Bank Kalbar, Bank Jatim, Bank Kaltimtara, and Bank Papua. For the next Simpeda Draw, the host baton was officially handed over to Bank BPD DIY.
