BLITAR, September 12, 2025. – PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) has officially handed over a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) donation in the form of one ambulance unit to Srengat Regional General Hospital (RSUD) on Friday (9/12). The CSR handover was symbolically carried out by the Head of Bank Jatim Blitar Branch, Five Seodisa Adha, accompanied by AVP of Corporate Communication, Mi’roj Subhanto, to the Regent of Blitar, Rijanto, during the 5th anniversary celebration of Srengat RSUD.

Acting President Director of Bank Jatim, Arif Suhirman, explained that this donation is a form of Bank Jatim’s concern for the needs of the community. It is hoped that the ambulance will provide several benefits for Blitar Regency, namely improving health service facilities and infrastructure, achieving minimal standardization provisions for transportation services, especially patient pick-up services, and assisting emergency pick-up services for the community covering the Blitar Raya and surrounding areas. "Hopefully, this ambulance can be immediately utilized to support the operations of Srengat RSUD. Bank Jatim is very focused on the needs of the community," he explained.

According to Arif, the presence of the ambulance is vital, especially for the Blitar region, which has diverse geographical conditions. With this additional fleet, Bank Jatim wants to ensure that the people of Blitar Regency receive better health services. "We strive for our CSR programs to always be in line with what the community needs. We also express our sincere gratitude for the good cooperation that has been established with Blitar Regency so far. Hopefully, this synergy can continue in the future," he asserted.

On this occasion, Rijanto also expressed his highest appreciation to Bank Jatim for the CSR provided. "This ambulance will be directly used to transport patients home for free. Services like this are greatly needed by the community. This is proof that the hospital continues to improve the quality of its services," he stated.

The Director of Srengat RSUD, dr. Tri Wahyuning Rahmawati MMRS, highly welcomed the donation from Bank Jatim. According to her, the ambulance provided is an advance type with a smaller size. This is in accordance with the geographical conditions of Blitar, which has many mountainous areas and narrow road access.

With this new additional fleet, Wahyuning continued, Srengat RSUD will further strengthen community-based health services. Moreover, the hospital has been highly expected to become a pillar of health services in Blitar since its establishment. "We hope this ambulance can be utilized not only for the residents of Srengat but also for the entire community of Blitar Raya. This patient shuttle service is free of charge. Hopefully, the reach of the service can be even wider," she said.

Meanwhile, on Thursday (9/11), Bank Jatim Syariah also handed over CSR in the form of scholarships to 30 students of Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UINSA).
