SURABAYA, April 25, 2025. As a form of social action, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) has just held a blood donation program on Friday (25/4). This blood donation drive collaborated with RSUD Dr. Soetomo and was held at Bank Jatim's Head Office. The activity, which involved all Jatimers, successfully collected 138 bags of blood from donors.
Bank Jatim Corporate Secretary Fenty Rischana K explained that all blood donation participants must apply health protocols and undergo screening first. Such as checking temperature, blood pressure, and others. "This blood donation activity demonstrates the company's commitment to community welfare and a real contribution to humanitarian issues. We hope that humanitarian and health actions like this can continue to be carried out regularly because the positive impact is very significant," she said.
According to Fenty, blood donation can build a spirit of caring and solidarity among employees. This can certainly strengthen relationships between employees and at the same time build a positive corporate culture. "It has become a lifestyle for Jatimers to maintain health while helping people in need of blood. Because the balance between physical and spiritual health is an important part of helping employees and also the community to be able to work to their optimal potential," she explained.
Fenty also explained that the current availability or need for blood, according to information from RSUD Dr. Soetomo, is around 8,000 bags per month. Therefore, with this synergy, Bank Jatim is ready to contribute to meeting the safe and sufficient blood needs for the community.
"In fact, we are ready to hold blood donation activities in collaboration with all Regional General Hospitals (RSUD) in East Java. Because routine blood donation activities can help improve the individual health of employees and donors, such as increasing red blood cell production, maintaining heart health, and improving blood flow," she explained. With a healthy body and soul, Jatimers are expected to provide the best service to the community.
