Bank Jatim Donates Arm Roll Truck CSR to Achieve Waste-Free Malang Regency.

MALANG, March 5, 2025. In order to realize a clean and waste-free Malang Regency, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) has officially handed over a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) donation to the Malang Regency Government in the form of one unit of an arm roll truck. Located at the Malang Regency Hall, the CSR handover was symbolically carried out by Bank Jatim Risk Management Director Eko Susetyono to Malang Regent Sanusi, accompanied by Malang Deputy Regent Lathifah Shohib on Wednesday (5/3).
Eko Susetyono explained that the purpose of the CSR is so that Malang Regency can increase efficiency in waste collection and transportation, as well as reduce accumulation in TPS (Temporary Disposal Sites). In addition, it is also hoped that it can support sustainable environmental programs in accordance with local government policies and at the same time contribute to improving community health and cleanliness. "This CSR is a symbol of Bank Jatim's dedication to the Malang Regency Government. Hopefully this assistance can reduce piles of waste at several points because waste transportation in Malang Regency is still quite high," he said.
Eko Susetyono emphasized that Bank Jatim will gradually continue to support the Regency Government in waste reduction, both technically and non-technically. This is proof that Bank Jatim also cares about the environment. "We all hope that Malang Regency can always be clean, beautiful, and natural. Let us work together to create an environmentally conscious community. Hopefully the cooperation between Bank Jatim and the Malang Regency Government can continue to run well in the future," he stressed.
Meanwhile, Malang Regent Sanusi said that waste is one of the sectors that is receiving attention this year. He explained that this is in accordance with the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto when giving a briefing to regional heads while undergoing a retreat at the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang last week. If the regions are unable to handle waste, it will be taken over by the central government. "Therefore, we thank Bank Jatim for caring about waste management in Malang Regency by providing this arm roll truck CSR," he said.
Later, the fleet will be used to overcome the transportation of accumulated waste, especially in market areas. "Because this is a donation from Bank Jatim Kepanjen, we will focus the truck on operating in Kepanjen, Gondanglegi, and Dampit. We really hope that all parties can make a real contribution to overcoming waste in order to create a cleaner and healthier environment," said Sanusi.
