PONOROGO, January 17, 2025. As a form of the company's social responsibility to the surrounding environment, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) continues to actively distribute Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to various regions. Most recently, bankjatim has officially handed over CSR to the Ponorogo Regency Government in the form of 1 (one) unit of a regional tax service car on Friday (17/1). Located at the Pringgitan, the official residence of the Ponorogo Regent, the CSR was symbolically handed over by bankjatim Risk Management Director, Eko Susetyono, to the Ponorogo Regent, Sugiri Sancoko. The Vice Regent of Ponorogo, Lisdyarita, was also present.
Eko explained that through the CSR, the Ponorogo Regency Government can be more optimal in providing tax services to the community. "With the existence of this regional tax mobile service car, the individual tax payment service from the community as taxpayers can be closer. This is important because the Ponorogo Regency consists of 21 sub-districts with details of 281 villages and 26 urban villages," he explained.
In addition, this car assistance can also bring closer the service for collective PBB-P2 (Land and Building Tax) deposits, minimizing the occurrence of deviations, misuse, and embezzlement of PBB-P2 deposits collected by officers. This car can also be used as a regional tax information service and consultation clinic.
"This is also a form of bankjatim's support, facilitation, and appreciation in supporting the development of Ponorogo Regency through the bankjatim peduli (bankjatim cares) program. With this assistance, we hope to help the Ponorogo Regency Government in maximizing the absorption of regional tax potential, which will subsequently be re-utilized for the development and welfare of the community," Eko elaborated. He also hoped that with the provision of this CSR benefit, the cooperation that has been established with the Ponorogo Regency Government can be even better and be able to provide a positive contribution to the region.
Meanwhile, the Ponorogo Regent, Sugiri Sancoko, was grateful for the assistance provided by bankjatim. Thus, the Ponorogo Regional Revenue, Financial Management and Asset Agency (BPPKAD) can be more active in picking up the ball to serve various regional tax payments. The tax service car is expected to be a means to optimize Regional Original Income (PAD) from the regional tax sector.
Sugiri acknowledged that currently the Ponorogo Regency Government is pursuing the PAD target through a number of tax payments, covering the acquisition of Land and Building Tax (PBB), Certain Goods and Services Tax (PBJT), Duty on Acquisition of Land and Building Rights (BPHTB), and other tax sources that are the right of the region. He is optimistic that the realization of regional taxes will be met thanks to the presence of this mobile service operational car. "Last year, regional tax realization was already in surplus. Hopefully, this year the achievement can increase even more," he emphasized.
Besides Ponorogo, bankjatim also handed over CSR assistance to the Sumenep Regency Government on Sunday (19/1) during the Orphan Children's Creation Festival event. The assistance provided included 8 units of ATV motorcycles, 6 units of electric bicycles, and 1 unit of a golf cart. The CSR was symbolically handed over by the Compliance Director, Umi Rodiyah, to the Sumenep Regent, Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo.
The 8 units of ATV motorcycles and 6 units of electric bicycles will be used to facilitate access for tourists or visitors to enjoy the beauty of the beach tourist attractions in Sumenep Regency. Then, 1 unit of the golf cart will be utilized for dr. H. Moh. Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Sumenep Regency. "We hope that the cooperation between bankjatim and the Sumenep Regency Government can continue to grow to support the improvement of the regional economy. Hopefully, this CSR can have a positive impact in creating sustainable economic growth in Sumenep," said Umi.
The Sumenep Regent, Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo, expressed high appreciation to bankjatim for the support provided in regional economic development. According to him, the collaboration between the local government and BJTM has been running very well and has been able to provide a positive impact on the people of Sumenep.
He added that the electric vehicles will be placed at a number of tourist attractions in Sumenep, such as Lombang Beach, Badur Beach, Pantai 9, Gililabak, Mangrove Kedatim, and Bukit Tawap. "The addition of these facilities is expected to provide more convenience for visitors in the framework of supporting the development of the tourism sector in Sumenep," he asserted.
