Bank Jatim Extends Flood Relief, Distributing Donations to Situbondo Flash Flood Victims

SURABAYA, March 12, 2025. The flash flood and landslide natural disaster that hit a number of areas in Situbondo Regency since February 3 – 5, 2025 has caused losses, both material and non-material. Thousands of houses were recorded as being affected by the flood, and not a few houses were totally damaged as a result of the disaster.
This heartbreaking incident moved the hearts of Jatimers (Bank Jatim employees) to take part, working together to ease the burden of the community in Situbondo Regency. As a form of concern and implementation of the company's cultural value, namely Synergy, Jatimers have carried out donation activities. The Donation Aid, titled Jatimers Peduli (Jatimers Cares), was opened from February 10-14, 2025, to all Jatimers in Bank Jatim's Divisions and Branches.
The collected Jatimers Peduli donation was handed over by the Head of Bank Jatim Situbondo Branch, Didik Yanuardi, and received directly by the Regent of Situbondo, Yusuf Rio Wahyu Prayoga, and the Vice Regent of Situbondo, Ulfiyah, on Wednesday (5/3).
Bank Jatim Corporate Secretary, Fenty Rischana K, explained that in line with bankjatim's mission and commitment to providing positive contributions in facing natural disasters, BJTM quickly provided aid to flood victims in the form of cash. "We express our condolences for the flood disaster that struck our brothers and sisters in Situbondo. The aid we distribute is hoped to be an encouragement and support for the victims in facing this ordeal," she said.
Fenty also explained that the aid provided by bankjatim is not only aimed at helping the victims in an emergency situation but also as a form of solidarity and care for the Situbondo community affected by the disaster. "We hope the aid we distribute can provide a little relief for those who are affected. And hopefully, this aid can become a bright light in the midst of the difficult situation faced by the victims, as well as a motivation for a better joint recovery effort in the future," she concluded.
