Bank Jatim Propels Trans Jatim Forward with Digital Payments

LAMONGAN, October 7, 2025. As a form of support and commitment to advancing infrastructure and public services in East Java, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) on Tuesday (7/10) participated in the Inauguration of the Trans Jatim Bus Operational Service for Corridor VII, spanning Lamongan Terminal to Dukun (Gresik) to Paciran Terminal. Held at the Sunan Drajad Tomb Parking Lot in Lamongan, the event was attended by the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, President Director of Bank Jatim Winardi Legowo, Head of the East Java Transportation Agency (Dishub Jatim) Nyono, Regent of Lamongan Yuhronur Efendi, Caretaker of Ponpes Sunan Drajat KH Abdul Ghofur, as well as a number of related officials and stakeholders.

On that occasion, Bank Jatim also received an appreciation from the East Java Provincial Government for its cooperation in providing a Cashless Payment System for the Trans Jatim Expedition service. The plaque was presented by the Head of the East Java Provincial Transportation Agency Nyono and received by the President Director of Bank Jatim Winardi Legowo.

Winardi explained that Bank Jatim will continue to support the development of payment systems for all users of Trans Jatim mass transportation. "This initiative aligns with Bank Jatim's mission to expand access to digital financial services and accelerate the transformation towards a smart city ecosystem in the East Java region," he said.

In this collaboration, Bank Jatim provides several services such as: electronic money cards and Bank Jatim QRIS as efficient non-cash payment options; integration of the electronic ticketing system with Bank Jatim's financial platformtop-up and transaction monitoring facilities through Bank Jatim's digital application and banking channels; as well as reliable and large-scale payment infrastructure support.

In addition to the inauguration, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa also introduced a new innovation from the Trans Jatim service called TRADISI or Trans Jatim Ekspedisi, which allows tourists to drop off or pick up souvenirs at Trans Jatim service terminal points. Khofifah also expressed appreciation for Bank Jatim's support for this service. "On behalf of the East Java Provincial Government, we extend our gratitude and appreciation to all parties who have contributed to realizing the Trans Jatim Corridor VII service," said Governor Khofifah.

Through this synergy, Bank Jatim is committed to providing integrated and digital payment system solutions to support Trans Jatim Expedition's fast, accurate, and transparent operations. These forms of support include: providing digital payment channels such as virtual account, QRIS, and payment gateway; integration of the payment system with Trans Jatim Expedition's logistics and management platform, to enhance efficiency and real-time transaction monitoring; corporate banking and cash management services to support optimal cash flow and financial management, as well as secure and reliable digital infrastructure support, in accordance with national financial industry standards.

Bank Jatim believes that affordable, reliable expedition services supported by a digital payment system will become the backbone of goods distribution and local economic growth, especially for MSME actors and the wider community.
