Bank Jatim Provides CSR for Greenhouse Development to Kediri City Government in Support of Modern Agricultural Practices.

KEDIRI, May 27, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) officially handed over CSR assistance to the Kediri City Government on Tuesday (27/5). The CSR provided was in the form of greenhouse construction assistance for melon cultivation. A greenhouse is an innovative and environmentally friendly agricultural system that can provide various benefits in facing the challenges of climate change. Located at the Kediri City Hall, the CSR was handed over by Bank Jatim Corporate Communication AVP Mi’roj Subhanto and directly received by Kediri Mayor Vinanda Prameswati during the launching of the flagship program towards the first 100 days of the Kediri Mayor's performance.
Bank Jatim Corporate Secretary Fenty Rischana K explained that this greenhouse CSR is a joint effort to support Indonesia's food security program. In addition, the construction of the greenhouse is also in the context of supporting the urban farming program in Kediri City by using Internet Of Things (IoT) technology. This technology functions to reduce the use of water and fertilizer with precision irrigation and fertilization. "By using IoT technology, we can monitor in real time and can optimize the environmental conditions that support plant growth in Kediri City," she explained. The greenhouse was built in 3 villages. Namely Banjarmlati Village, Banaran Village, and Jamsaren Village.
Fenty affirmed that the assistance provided by Bank Jatim is a form of support for local agriculture that is independent and sustainable. Bank Jatim hopes that the greenhouse can have a positive impact on the farmers' economy and at the same time expand modern, environmentally friendly agricultural practices. "With synergy between the local government, financial institutions, and farmer groups, it is hoped that the food security of the people of Kediri City can continue to increase. Hopefully, this assistance can be utilized as well as possible, as one of the efforts in food self-sufficiency which is included in President Prabowo's main program," she explained.
According to Fenty, Bank Jatim continues to be committed to supporting all development programs in Kediri City. Not only as a financial institution, but Bank Jatim must also become a strategic regional partner. "We want to contribute directly to encouraging the progress of education, environment, and community welfare," she continued.
Fenty also added that the Bank Jatim Peduli CSR program is a tangible form of Bank Jatim's synergy with the local government in improving the standard of living of the community. "We hope this small step can be a catalyst for big changes. Because we believe that sustainable development must involve many parties and mutual collaboration," she stated.
Meanwhile, Vinanda was grateful because this moment became an important marker in the series of journeys towards her 100 days of performance in leading Kediri City. "We have done many efforts together. Therefore, I express my thanks and appreciation to all parties who have compactly supported and collaborated to realize a stable Kediri City," she said.
Vinanda also added that as a manifestation to build a more advanced Kediri City, on this occasion, her party had inaugurated various flagship programs as the realization of Sapta Cita together with stakeholders. Including the greenhouse from Bank Jatim. In addition, her party also launched Siaga 112 and Kediri's signature batik. "We hope that the launched programs can run smoothly and of course, all of that requires support and supervision from the community so that these programs can be right on target and beneficial for the people of Kediri City," she emphasized.
