Bank Jatim Supports Regional Progress Through CSR Contribution to Pasuruan Regency and Kangean Island.

PASURUAN, June 12, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) has officially handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the Pasuruan Regency Government. The assistance provided is in the form of the construction of the Bangil Square Amphitheater. Located at the Pasuruan Regent's Office, the CSR was symbolically presented by Bank Jatim Corporate Communications AVP Mi’roj Subhanto to the Pasuruan Regent H.M Rusdi Sutejo on Thursday (12/6).
Corporate Secretary of Bank Jatim, Fenty Rischana K, explained that Bank Jatim Peduli CSR is the company's commitment to supporting regional development and a form of synergy between Bank Jatim and the local government. “Not only focusing on business, we also always provide a real contribution to the people of East Java, including in Pasuruan Regency. This is because CSR is our moral obligation to always synergize with regions that contribute positively to Bank Jatim. It is hoped that this assistance can increase productivity and bring a positive impact on the economy of Pasuruan,” she explained.
Fenty elaborated that the amphitheater assistance at Bangil Square can provide several benefits. Among others, it can make Bangil Square more attractive and well-maintained and can add to the appeal of the people of Pasuruan and outside the area. In addition, this CSR is also an effort to beautify and enhance Bangil Square Pasuruan. “The construction of the amphitheater at Bangil Square is considered a symbol of public trust in Bank Jatim. This facility will later be managed by the Environmental Agency and hopefully can become a public space useful for arts, culture, and community activities,” she asserted.
Meanwhile, on that occasion, H.M Rusdi Sutejo expressed his appreciation for Bank Jatim's contribution to development in his area. “We thank you for this support and synergy. Hopefully, this good cooperation will continue, and can increase value not only for Pasuruan Regency, but also for Bank Jatim corporately,” he stated.
On the same day, Bank Jatim also handed over CSR assistance for Kangean Island, Sumenep Regency. The assistance provided was in the form of 4 units of public street lighting and a fence for the entrance gate of Batu Guluk Port, Kangean Island. The CSR was symbolically presented by the Head of Bank Jatim Kangean Branch, Yudhistira Januar Sadikin, to the Head of Arjasa Sub-district, Aynizar Sukma.
Fenty said that the purpose of providing this CSR is to help street lighting for the people of Kangean Island and maintain security for the mobility of passengers at Batu Guluk Port. With the public street lighting from Bank Jatim, it will certainly be very beneficial for the local community and people passing through the Kangean area, especially on quiet roads. So now the community no longer experiences dark and silent villages. “Therefore, we hope that the greater the support from the Kangean community for Bank Jatim's business growth, the greater the CSR that can be provided by Bank Jatim. Hopefully, this cooperation can continue well,” she concluded.
