SITUBONDO, July 6, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) officially handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the Situbondo Regency Government on Sunday (6/7). The assistance provided was in the form of procuring 455 units of portable tents for MSMEs. Located at the Situbondo Regency Square, the CSR was symbolically handed over by Bank Jatim Corporate Secretary Fenty Rischana K to Situbondo Regent Yusuf Rio Wahyu Prayogo.

Fenty explained that these hundreds of tents are intended for the Situbondo Car Free Day (CFD) Association which aims to boost MSMEs and the local economy. The CFD Association is a group of MSMEs involving CFD traders in Situbondo Regency.

According to Fenty, the MSME sector must receive support from all parties. Therefore, Bank Jatim has not only provided support in the area of funding, but has also presented solutions for the development of MSMEs in East Java, both in terms of promotion and market access. "MSMEs need to continue to move up a class, not just become local champions but also contribute nationally and compete globally," she asserted.

Fenty said that the provision of 455 units of portable tents is a tangible manifestation of Bank Jatim's support for advancing MSMEs in Situbondo Regency. Because, providing promotional access for MSMEs is an important factor that must be done if East Java's MSME products, especially Situbondo's, are to be known by the wider community and have strong purchasing power. Thus, the tent assistance is expected to create an increase in the community's economy. "With these tents, we hope that MSME actors can market their excellent products safely and comfortably when CFD takes place," she explained.

Fenty also emphasized that partnership between the government, banking sector, and all layers of society is absolutely needed in advancing MSMEs in East Java and in Indonesia. "MSMEs play a major role in creating employment and the community's economy, especially in East Java, so it is proper that MSMEs should be fully supported in their productivity," she stated.

Meanwhile, the Situbondo Regent expressed his highest appreciation to Bank Jatim for the CSR donation and the cooperation that has been established so far. His side also hopes that Bank Jatim can provide capital loans to MSME entrepreneurs with wise and prudent policies. "Hopefully, this cooperation can continue to be improved in the future. We will utilize this assistance as best as possible to support and serve the community, especially in realizing MSMEs to move up a class and be highly competitive," he expressed.
