SURABAYA, August 22, 2025. The peak of the 64th Anniversary celebration of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) was a great success. The event, held at Grand City Surabaya on Friday evening (22/8), was attended by the Deputy Governor of East Java, Emil Elestianto Dardak, the Board of Commissioners of Bank Jatim, the Board of Directors of Bank Jatim, all Jatimers, and many other VIP guests.
Acting President Director Arif Suhirman explained that the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the 64th Anniversary of Bank Jatim, both internal and external, had been carried out smoothly. Various sports, arts, cultural, and social activities were successfully held. In addition, Arif also expressed his highest appreciation for the contribution of all Jatimers who have brought Bank Jatim to its current position. The hard work of Jatimers successfully yielded positive performance for Bank Jatim, which is getting stronger amidst the challenges of global economic uncertainty. "It is not easy for Bank Jatim to achieve its current position amidst the challenges and existing competition. Therefore, it is very fitting that this Bank Jatim Anniversary momentum is dedicated to all Jatimers in East Java and outside East Java," he explained.
Arif elaborated that in 2025, the management will focus on achieving quality assets and sustainable growth. Bank Jatim can provide products and services that meet the transactional banking needs of customers and, as a business entity, can meet the expectations of shareholders. "We understand that every customer is a special individual. Therefore, for the special ones, we provide equally special services because customers are our priority. Well, on Bank Jatim's 64th anniversary, we proudly introduce the Jatim Syariah Priority service. This service is launched to complement the existing Jatim Priority Service with a special segment for customers who have a preference for sharia," he asserted.
With the large number of customers concerned about sharia financial principles, Arif continued, his party believes that this market niche will provide sustainable opportunities and business potential for Bank Jatim. Arif also affirmed that his party is very grateful that at the age of 64 and amidst relatively challenging economic conditions, Bank Jatim is still able to record proud performance. As of June 2025, Bank Jatim's consolidated assets grew by 16.7% YoY, amounting to Rp118.1 Trillion. Then, the distribution of loans to the public grew by 35.2% YoY, amounting to Rp78.5 Trillion. The management of Third Party Funds from the public increased by 13% YoY, amounting to Rp91.6 Trillion. And the net profit itself was at Rp844 Billion or an increase of 35.9% YoY. "This achievement is the result of collaboration and hard work from all Jatimers and, of course, with full support. Both from customers to shareholders, so that Bank Jatim can be accepted and able to serve all communities in East Java and Indonesia," he explained.
The peak of the 64th Bank Jatim Anniversary celebration was enlivened by the national artist Kahitna. Not only that, but as many as 20 SMEs fostered by Bank Jatim also participated in enlivening the event attended by 2,600 Jatimers. "As is well known, the economic growth of East Java is around 5.2 percent, then the growth of East Java's manufacturing is around 7.5 percent, and also the growth of food and beverage accommodation can be 8 percent. We should be grateful for all of that," he explained.
Emil hopes that in the future, Bank Jatim will always be an adaptive bank to economic developments, both macro and global. In addition, his party also hopes that Bank Jatim can continue to support the agro sector and successfully implement the 3 million home program with the FLPP quota that has been entrusted to Bank Jatim and Bank Jatim's Sharia Business Unit. Based on the facts, the demand or desire from sharia customers to have priority services is high, which is why it was answered through tonight's launching," he affirmed.
