Bank Jatim's Continued Positive Performance Secures 'Excellent' Predicate from The Asian Post

JAKARTA, May 16, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) once again received a prestigious award from The Asian Post in The Asian Post Best Regional Champion 2025 event. The award successfully received by Bank Jatim was the predicate Excellent For The Financial Performance During 2023 – 2024. Located at Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta, the award was presented by The Asian Post Founder Eko B. Supriyanto and received by Bank Jatim's Corporate Communication AVP Mi’roj Subhanto on Friday (16/5).
Bank Jatim President Director Busrul Iman explained that the award achieved by the pride bank of the East Java community is inseparable from the support and trust of all parties, ranging from the Governor of East Java as the controlling shareholder, all shareholders, stakeholders, to customers. "The award we have successfully obtained proves Bank Jatim's consistency in providing the best financial services to the community and also in improving performance, both in terms of financial ratios and growth. We hope that this award can serve as motivation and extra spirit for all Jatimers to continue improving performance and financial services for customers," he affirmed.
According to Busrul, the recognition from The Asian Post is also tangible proof of Bank Jatim's resilience and consistency in managing finance, promoting digitalization, and expanding economic and regional financial inclusion. "Bank Jatim is committed to continuously striving to make a positive contribution and become a strategic agent in driving economic growth, regional development, and increasing the Original Regional Revenue of East Java," he explained.
Busrul stated that a solid business foundation supported by reliable information technology is Bank Jatim's main strength in facing competition in the banking sector. Furthermore, sustainable innovation is also one of Bank Jatim's keys to success, not only in terms of products and services but also in terms of good corporate governance. "An award like this encourages us to continue to innovate. As a bank that is adaptive to change, Bank Jatim has proven capable of maintaining stable growth amid various economic challenges," he remarked.
With this achievement, Busrul continued, Bank Jatim is increasingly optimistic to continue developing and presenting innovative banking services to support regional and national economic growth. Bank Jatim's performance until the end of 2024 was quite positive. In terms of Bank Jatim's net profit (bank only) throughout 2024, it successfully reached Rp 1.28 trillion. This figure successfully became the largest net profit among all BPDs (Regional Development Banks) in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Eko B. Supriyanto said in his speech that the success of BPDs, BPRs (Rural Banks), and BPRSs (Sharia Rural Banks) in achieving their best performance deserves appreciation, especially amid the highly fluctuating global economic dynamics due to tariff wars, geopolitical situations, and an unusual domestic economy. "In uncertain situations like today, banks that successfully maintain their performance are banks that can work efficiently, prudently, and carefully. Therefore, maintain credit quality well and always firmly adhere to the principles of GCG (Good Corporate Governance)," he said.
