JAKARTA, March 9, 2025. In order to support market expansion to foreign countries, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) has successfully included its fostered partners in the prestigious exhibition titled International Furniture Expo (IFEX) 2025. IFEX is the largest furniture and craft exhibition in Indonesia, showcasing elegant and environmentally friendly furniture designs. The exhibition, held from March 6 – 9, 2025, was attended by four of Bank Jatim's fostered partners from various regions in East Java, such as Sidoarjo, Situbondo, and Malang.

Bank Jatim's President Director, Busrul Iman, explained that IFEX participants do not only come from Indonesia. They also come from other countries such as Taiwan, China, Belgium, Singapore, Malaysia, Turkey, and many more. According to him, Bank Jatim's participation in IFEX 2025 will certainly open up opportunities for expanding the business of fostered customers to the global market. "In addition, it can also be a stimulus for SMEs and companies involved in export activities in East Java to utilize Bank Jatim's products and services. This will further increase the potential for enhancing Bank Jatim's brand awareness and export transaction portfolio," he explained.

The names of Bank Jatim's fostered partners that successfully participated in IFEX 2025 are CV Delta Raya, CV Pilar Factory, PT Siklus Karya Global (Robries), and PT Kriya Alam Indonesia. Busrul emphasized that the company, as a bank belonging to the people of East Java, continues to be committed to helping overcome the problems faced by Bank Jatim's fostered customers, ranging from marketing access, financing, to mentoring.

"We highly support SMEs in developing their businesses. Bank Jatim will constantly support SMEs so that their growth is faster and they have good quality to compete in national and international markets. One way is by facilitating our fostered partners to participate in IFEX 2025," he stated.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Santoso, explained that exhibitions like IFEX play a crucial role in encouraging the growth of the national furniture industry. The international exhibition serves as a primary platform for export promotion, business expansion, and technology innovation, as well as strengthening Indonesia's reputation as a leading furniture manufacturing hub.

"As a venue where industry players meet with international buyers, IFEX is the right place to pave the way for trade partnerships and investment opportunities for industry players. The Ministry of Trade will continue to support furniture craftsmen to increase and expand exports. Craftsmen can utilize facilities such as business matching and trade missions through trade representatives abroad," he clarified.

The Chairman of the Indonesian Furniture and Craft Industry Association (HIMKI), Abdul Sobur, added that the furniture and craft industry is a very strategic industry. Besides being a labor-intensive industry, it is also a creative-based industry that is able to sustain itself for a long time. "This year, there were 14,507 visitors recorded, an increase compared to 13,000 visitors in 2024. The majority of visitors came from Europe. The interesting aspect of this new anomaly is the presence of new buyers, including those who came to Indonesia for the first time. This proves that IFEX has succeeded in opening up market opportunities and creating potential new transactions for the participants," he said.
