Commitment to Help MSMEs Upgrade, Bank Jatim Hand over CSR Tenda Cone to Pemkab Jember

JEMBER, OCTOBER 25, 2023. As a form of corporate social responsibility to the surrounding community, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has just handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the Jember Regency Government (Pemkab). Assistance provided in the form of 185 units of cone tents for the Office of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises of Jember Regency. Located at Secaba Jember, the handover was carried out symbolically by SEVP Corporations, Syndication and Institutions bankjatim Koerniawan Prijambodo to the Regent of Jember Hendy Siswanto on Wednesday (25/10) in the activities of Jamboree Posyandu.
Bankjatim President Director Busrul Iman explained that the MSME sector must fully receive support from all parties. Therefore, bankjatim has not only provided support in the field of funding, but also presents solutions for the development of MSMEs in East Java both in terms of promotion and market access. "MSMEs need to continue to upgrade, not only to become champions in the region but also to contribute nationally and compete globally," he said.
Because according to him, providing promotional access for MSMEs is an important factor that must be done if you want East Java MSME products to be recognized by the wider community and have strong purchasing power. So it is hoped that the cone tent assistance for the Jember Regency Cooperative and Micro Business Office can create an increase in the community's economy. "With these tents, we can all empower MSMEs and involve MSMEs in various events in Jember Regency," said Busrul.
As for the main objectives of providing CSR in the form of 185 cone tents, among others, are to provide facilities to MSMEs in events or events in Jember Regency to realize upscale MSMEs, improve the community's economy so that it can again reduce the inflation rate in the future, and build synergies between the business world and the district government by aligning the responsibilities and activity programs of Jember Regency.
Busrul also emphasized that partnership between the government, banks, and all levels of society is absolutely necessary in advancing MSMEs in East Java and in Indonesia. "MSMEs play a big role in the opening of jobs and the economy of the community, especially in East Java, so it is fitting that MSMEs should be fully supported in their productivity," said Busrul.
Meanwhile, Jember Regent Hendy Siswanto gave his highest appreciation to bankjatim for the provision of CSR and cooperation that has been established so far. "Hopefully this cooperation in the future can continue to be improved. We will make the best use of this assistance to support and serve the community, especially in terms of realizing MSMEs upscale and highly competitive, "he said.
