SURABAYA, January 20, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Nusa Tenggara Barat Syariah (Bank NTB Syariah) on Monday (20/1). This agreement discusses the technical implementation of the shareholder agreement (SHA). Held at Pakuwon Imperial Ballroom, the agreement was signed by bankjatim President Director Busrul Iman and Bank NTB Syariah Director of Funds & Services H. Nurul Hadi.
Busrul explained that this PKS is a follow-up to the shareholder agreement (SHA) that was carried out in the previous year, as well as after obtaining permission from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) within the scope of forming a Bank Business Group (KUB) between bankjatim as the parent company and Bank NTB Syariah as the subsidiary. ”This agreement regulates technical matters related to the implementation of the parent company's authority and other technical aspects in KUB activities, including business synergy such as sharing biller, remittance, trade finance, and syndicated financing,” he said.
For cooperation such as sharing biller, bankjatim has various featured services that can be utilized by Bank NTB Syariah. These features include payment of electricity bills, PDAM (water utility) bills, PBB (land and building tax), electronic money top-up, and other services that ease Bank NTB Syariah customers in fulfilling their financial needs. ”This cooperation will certainly benefit both parties,” Busrul continued.
Therefore, Busrul hopes this collaboration can expand the scope of banking services in the NTB region, providing ease of transactions for the local community. ”We hope this cooperation provides positive energy so that we can grow together in developing banking services in the country. We are ready to be a strategic partner for Bank NTB Syariah in accelerating the digitalization of financial services to realize more massive regional economic growth,” he affirmed.
In addition, Busrul also hopes that this cooperation can provide maximum benefits for both banks and stakeholders.
