In an effort to boost the financial literacy and inclusion index in East Java, the East Java Regional Financial Services Authority (OJK) together with the East Java Financial Services Industry Communication Forum (FKIJK) organized a financial services industry exhibition entitled Jatim Inclusion Festival (JIFest). Located at Royal Plaza Surabaya, the opening ceremony of the activity was attended by bankjatim President Director Busrul Iman who also serves as Chairman of the East Java FKIJK, Head of the Economic Bureau of the East Java Provincial Secretariat Aftabuddin Rijaluzzaman, Head of OJK Regional 4 East Java Giri Tribroto, and Deputy Head of Bank Indonesia East Java Representative Bandoe Widiarto on Thursday (26/10).

Busrul explained that JIFest is the culmination of the Financial Inclusion Month (BIK) 2023 which has been held from May to October. There are many series of activities in the BIK commemoration. The goal is to increase public understanding of financial services and publicize financial literacy, financial inclusion, and consumer protection programs. "Especially with the JIFest this time, the public can open accounts and use financial service products and services directly," he said.

A number of activities that have been carried out to commemorate BIK include educational activities, partnerships, and talk shows attended by students, college students, and housewives. Then, there are also talk shows on several radios by presenting competent speakers, workshops and provision of financial access for people with disabilities, as well as the Bangkit Creation Summit held for elementary and high school students.

"Well, for JIFest itself, it will be held on October 26, 2023 - October 29, 2023 at Royal Plaza. There are many events in it. Starting from talk shows and workshops on the financial services industry, children's coloring competitions, reels competitions, band competitions, fashion shows, exhibitions of products and services of financial services institutions, to exhibitions of MSME products fostered by Financial Services Institutions in East Java, everything is there, "said Busrul.

He also added that in the JIFest itself, there will be a lot of events.

He also added, in the activity, there are 20 tenants from various financial services institutions who contributed to enliven JIFest this year. Including bankjatim. The form of bankjatim's participation in JIFest 2023 activities is by becoming a talk show speaker, opening an exhibition booth, and providing various attractive offers during the event. "JIFest 2023 activities are in line with bankjatim's commitment to support financial inclusion to the community. So it is expected that in the future the community will be increasingly able to do financial planning well, "said Busrul.
