SURABAYA, September 27, 2024 – PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) officially launched the Semarak Lelang 2024 event on Friday (27/9). Running from September 27 to September 29, 2024, this event marks a strategic move by bankjatim to introduce and market the company’s quality assets to the public. Held at the Oval Atrium of Ciputra World Surabaya, Semarak Lelang 2024 was officially opened by R. Arief Wicaksono, Director of Micro, Retail, and Medium at bankjatim, and also attended by Dudung Rudi Hendratna, Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) East Java.
Arief explained that, as is commonly known, the core business of a banking institution is lending. Within this, auction resolution is one of the key components in credit settlement. In this regard, bankjatim continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing ease and convenience through various innovative banking programs.
"With that in mind, we are collaborating with the State Wealth and Auction Service Office (KPKNL), which is a vertical agency under the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) – Ministry of Finance, through the Semarak Lelang Bank Jatim 2024 initiative. We are doing all this to ensure the auction process runs smoothly, efficiently, and accountably," he explained.
Aimed at streamlining costs, time, and technical aspects in auction implementation, the event offers a variety of assets that the public can acquire as profitable investment options. The auctioned assets vary in type and are spread across all regions of East Java. To achieve optimal auction results, bankjatim ensures that all listed assets are in good condition, both physically and in terms of supporting documentation.
"We hope that through Semarak Lelang, the public can take advantage of the opportunity to acquire quality assets at attractive prices. With this event, we also hope that the auction process becomes more accessible, generating more public enthusiasm to participate," he added.
According to Arief, bankjatim is currently optimizing the recovery of non-performing assets to boost revenue. One of the recovery strategies is through auction. "The auction outlook this year is expected to grow better than last year, in line with the improving economic conditions. Therefore, to boost auction performance, bankjatim is holding Semarak Lelang 2024 this year in the hope that auctions will serve as a reliable sales tool and contribute to state revenue," he emphasized.
In addition to auctions, the event is also enlivened with various activities for all age groups, including talk shows, workshops, fashion shows, and dance & coloring competitions.
