New JConnect Officially Launched, Draws Over 27,000 Visitors

SURABAYA, May 3, 2026 – Bank Jatim successfully held the grand launch of JConnect as the highlight of a series of events conducted from May 1–3, 2026, at Grand City Surabaya. The event, titled JConnect Zone, marked an important milestone in Bank Jatim’s digital transformation journey, aimed at strengthening modern banking services for the people of East Java. Held at Grand City Surabaya, the event was attended by the Vice Governor of East Java, Emil Elestianto Dardak, members of Bank Jatim’s Board of Commissioners, Sharia Supervisory Board, Board of Directors, and thousands of enthusiastic visitors eager to witness Bank Jatim’s latest digital innovations.
In his remarks, Emil expressed his appreciation for Bank Jatim’s commitment as a regional development bank that continues to innovate by providing inclusive, secure, and easily accessible digital financial services for all segments of society.
"Banks must have a competitive advantage in serving the public through digital-based services. In today’s era, most people conduct transactions using gadgets rather than conventional methods. Therefore, I highly appreciate Bank Jatim’s efforts and innovation in developing the latest version of JConnect," he stated.
According to Emil, the digital transformation through JConnect is a strategic step toward accelerating financial literacy and inclusion in East Java while supporting regional economic growth.
"We are optimistic that JConnect will achieve its user growth targets. With the introduction of many new features, we hope the people of East Java will increasingly recognize that Bank Jatim is truly their bank. The latest JConnect application represents an important leap forward that deserves our collective support," he added.
Meanwhile, Bank Jatim President Director Winardi Legowo emphasized that JConnect has been developed as a financial service platform that offers greater convenience for payment transactions.
"JConnect reflects Bank Jatim’s commitment to continuously adapt to customers’ needs in the digital era. We aim to deliver a banking experience that is faster, safer, more modern, and more relevant to all members of society," he explained.
According to Winardi, strengthening the platform’s features has been the primary focus of the latest JConnect version. The new application introduces 36 flagship features, developed based on customer needs and feedback (voice of customer). These include the ability to change passwords without visiting a branch office and biometric login systems that provide a more practical and secure user experience. In addition, e-money card top-up services are now fully integrated within the application.
"Currently, the number of registered JConnect users has reached approximately 1.025 million. With the launch of this latest version, Bank Jatim is targeting significant growth, aiming to reach 2 million registered users by December 2026," Winardi stated.
Throughout the three-day JConnect Zone event, public enthusiasm generated highly positive results. From May 1–3, 2026, Bank Jatim successfully acquired more than 100,000 new users for the latest version of JConnect, reflecting a significant acceleration in the adoption of the bank’s digital services. In addition, the event attracted more than 27,000 visitors over the three-day period.
"This demonstrates the public’s strong interest in exploring the various features, services, and digital experiences offered by JConnect," he noted.
Winardi further explained that JConnect Zone featured a wide range of engaging activities for visitors, including financial literacy talk shows, 3-on-3 basketball competitions, exhibition booths from various brands, concerts by nationally renowned artists, special performances, as well as promotional transaction programs and attractive rewards for JConnect users.
