QRIS Bank Jatim Ramadan Vaganza Successfully Held, Fostering MSME Growth.

SURABAYA, March 19, 2025. To enliven the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) successfully organized an event titled QRIS Bank Jatim Ramadan Vaganza in collaboration with the Surabaya City Government and Suara Surabaya. The event, which was officially opened on the grounds of the Surabaya City Hall last Wednesday (19/3), was attended by the Regional Secretary of Surabaya City M. Ikhsan, SEVP Consumer Banking Bank Jatim Hermita, and the President Director of Suara Surabaya Verry Firmansyah.
Hermita explained that the activity, which lasted until Sunday (23/3), had many interesting series of events. These included an MSME bazaar attended by 102 MSMEs, music performances, Islamic studies, various competitions, door prize draws, and much more. "All payment transactions at the Ramadan Vaganza use Bank Jatim QRIS. Of course, the presence of this event has many business benefits for us. Among others, it can add new NOA, new e-channels, and new QRIS merchant management. In addition, it can also increase the volume and nominal value of Bank Jatim QRIS transactions because this event targets a thousand visitors per day," she explained.
For information, throughout 2024, Bank Jatim QRIS users successfully recorded growth of up to 72.31 percent compared to 2023. The nominal value of transactions itself rose 129.92 percent (YoY).
Therefore, Hermita continued, Bank Jatim is very grateful for the opportunity to collaborate in the five-day event. "We hope that through the QRIS Bank Jatim Ramadan Vaganza, we can contribute to boosting the Surabaya economy. We hope this activity is not just a cheap shopping event, but also provides real benefits for the community and provides broader business opportunities for MSME actors," Hermita concluded.
Meanwhile, M. Ikhsan conveyed that the QRIS Bank Jatim Ramadan Vaganza is a concrete manifestation of mutual cooperation in building and mobilizing the economy, especially for MSME actors in Surabaya City. "On this occasion, Surabaya City is assisted by all parties. This shows how we are working together in mutual cooperation to enliven this event while boosting the city's economy," he explained. Ikhsan also asserted that the Surabaya City Government cannot work alone without the support of various community elements. "We are always reminded by Mayor Eri Cahyadi that if everything has to be done alone by the city government, God willing, we will not be able, because there are limitations, both in terms of budget and personnel," he said.
Therefore, Ikhsan hoped that the spirit of togetherness and collaboration can be maintained in the future. Moreover, in the blessed atmosphere of Ramadan 2025.
