Supporting Pandemic Recovery, Bank Jatim Receives Jatim Bangkit Awards

SURABAYA, OCTOBER 18, 2023. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) won the Jatim Bangkit Awards 2023 organized by JTV. Located in the Grand Mercure Ballroom Surabaya, the activity held on Wednesday (18/10) night was attended by East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and President Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman.
On this occasion, bankjatim became the only East Java BUMD that successfully received the award because it was considered successful in making a major contribution to the people of East Java during the covid-19 pandemic some time ago. The award was presented by the Regional Secretary of the East Java Provincial Government Adhy Karyono and received directly by Busrul Iman. In addition to bankjatim, Khofifah also received an award as the Initiator with the Highest Commitment to the Recovery Program from the Impact of Pandemic.
Busrul explained, when the covid-19 virus broke out, bankjatim did not remain silent. Various efforts have been made to provide concrete support to the community and at the same time encourage the acceleration of economic recovery. Including synergizing with the East Java Provincial Government. Because according to him, a pandemic is an invisible enemy that tests human resilience. Therefore, all parties must unite and work together to share tasks according to their respective capacities and functions in order to survive and win the fight against Covid-19.
"At that time, we were actively channeling assistance to various elements of vulnerable communities by providing basic necessities. In addition, assistance from bankjatim was also provided to medical personnel in various regions as a form of the company's real support for all levels of society in the movement against Covid-19, "he explained.
Busrul also explained that the Covid-19 pandemic has encouraged bankjatim to continue to upgrade and adjust digital banking services to accommodate customer needs. Now, bankjatim has a digital platform, namely JConnect, which can be used for banking transactions, shopping, and credit applications. This is also one of the steps to mitigate the risks that exist along with the rapid development of banking technology.
"We are grateful that during the last pandemic, bankjatim's performance was still able to score positive numbers. It is all inseparable from the hard work of Jatimers and the support of all the people of East Java, "he said.
