TRENGGALEK, May 5, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) continues to support various local government programs. One of these is the launching of the KHAS (Halal, Safe, and Healthy Culinary) zone at Pasar Pon, which is promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Cooperatives of the Republic of Indonesia and the Trenggalek Regional Government. Located at Pasar Pon Trenggalek, the launch was attended by the Deputy for Micro Business of the Ministry of SMEs and Cooperatives, Riza Damanik, the Deputy Governor of East Java, Emil Dardak, the Regent of Trenggalek, Mochamad Nur Arifin, and the AVP of Micro Credit of Bank Jatim, Fiki Effendy, on Monday (5/5). The launching of the KHAS Zone at Pasar Pon is part of the Festival of Ease and Protection of Micro Businesses carried out by the Trenggalek Regional Government in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Cooperatives of the Republic of Indonesia.

Director of Micro, Retail, and Sharia Business of Bank Jatim, R. Arief Wicaksono, explained that the KHAS zone at Pasar Pon will be filled by 70 micro-business actors, most of whom are already halal certified. "The launch of this KHAS zone is an important step in realizing halal, safe, and healthy culinary in Pasar Pon Trenggalek. Of course, this will have a good impact on business actors and consumers. Thus, the community's awareness and trust in a halal lifestyle will increase," he stated.

Arief explained that Bank Jatim can collaborate on many things within this KHAS Pasar Pon zone. Such as expanding market networks, assisting with QRIS creation for transaction processes for SMEs, and providing financing facilities to SME actors. Thus, it can be seen that the synergy between Bank Jatim and the Trenggalek Regional Government has been well established to drive the community's economy and increase the legality of the SME actors within it.

According to Arief, the launch of the KHAS zone is an important step in supporting the halal ecosystem in East Java Province, especially Trenggalek Regency. With halal certification, Muslim communities do not need to worry about enjoying various products offered by the SME actors at Pasar Pon. In addition, buyers can also make cashless payments because every tenant is equipped with QRIS. "Bank Jatim will continue to play an important role in helping SME actors through various programs. Starting from financing, marketing, mentoring, to facilitation. All of this is done to increase the competitiveness of SMEs in facing market challenges," he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Mochamad Nur Arifin also explained that with the presence of this KHAS zone, it is hoped that it can provide protection to consumers because they can now enjoy food that is safe, healthy, and halal. His party is also committed to continuing to encourage halal certification by business actors, one of which is through the KHAS Zone.

With the presence of the KHAS Zone, it is hoped that it can boost the economy of Trenggalek Regency. "The KHAS Zone at Pasar Pon Trenggalek, which contains about 70 culinary SMEs, will be our shared pride. Halal certification for SMEs is an important indicator, considering there are hundreds of SMEs in Trenggalek. Hopefully, the existence of this KHAS Zone can be an inspiration for all places in the Trenggalek area," he concluded.

Riza Damanik added that SMEs are one of the main pillars of the Indonesian economy. Therefore, the government continues to encourage the ease of legalization and business certification so that SMEs become more productive and competitive. "The government continues to increase the productivity of micro-businesses nationally through easy access to obtain legality and business certification facilities. This is the urgency of holding the Festival of Ease and Protection of Micro Businesses, as mandated by Government Regulation (PP) 7 of 2021," he said.

Riza also affirmed that the Ministry of SMEs and Cooperatives will continue to synergize and collaborate with various parties to roll out various strategic programs. "Including the distribution of KUR (People's Business Credit) to the production sector, the involvement of SMEs in the free nutritious meal program, and involvement in the construction of 3 million units of people's housing," he closed.
